INFINITE SERIES OF NOWS

Can a deserted soul, strip his hurt, but love till eternity?

By conquering desire, reach the land of immortality?

Yes his care lives in the present,

But is born from the past,

Has no future to fulfill, no reason to be aghast

Yet he can cast his dream every second, in a stage that is vast.

But he cannot live the virtual play and earn his bows

And won’t decide the future (script) of the girl that he loves.

Impossible, 'MAN AIN'T,THAT SACRED!',

But I’m one among the doves.

I am today’s dream that flies forgetting the un-kept vows

And lives in hope, for eternity is an infinite series of nows.

A WELL DESERVED BITE

Staring at my blog canvas, to paint my rant,
I see a moon-walking speck, born as an ant.
Dancing on my display, distracting my art
The Rebel fed over me, like a strawberry tart.

Moving my arm, to crush the toxic sinner
A weird thought struck, and left me to wonder
Am I the rebellious ant, gasping its final breath?
Is the arm, the hand of god that signs my death?

If the thought is true, ain’t my killer an equal sinner?
But only English, treats us in similar manner.
By capitalizing both the human “I” and the godly “He”
It equates the individual man, with the divine Almighty.

“Food for worms” after I become numb,
But at least I guarantee you an original meal.
Hey God the mortal might succumb,
But the free-thinker won’t kneel.

And don’t expect the rebellious ant, to go down without a fight,
It won’t die without giving the ‘hand of god’, a well deserved bite.

The question of Country

You don't have to be a movie buff, to know about a gentleman called Mani Rathnam and even the most oblivious person would be aware of the word Roja, which was more than just a movie. In Roja, most people cannot forget the scene wherein Aravindh swamy patriotically replies to Pankaj Kapoor's question "enna tamizhan thimira? illa Indiyan thimiru"

I was one among millions who was touched by the powerful dialog of Mr.Sujatha. It was a fitting reply to all the dravidian parties and tamizh separatists.

Sachin Tendulkar after the epic 200* which by now has been discussed in every form of communication tool ever invented, said " I would be happy, And I wish this record gets broken by a fellow Indian".This statement increased the unimaginable respect that he enjoys among fellow countrymen(like infinity +1)

It is considered to be a separatist, narrow minded and ostentatious statement when someone speaks about his state/zone's pride disregarding the interests of other states. And even I agree on it.

But what puzzles and intrigues me the most is how does it that when somebody boasting about his country, undermining fellow nations gets to be considered patriotic and broad minded.

Why should I feel more pain or sympathy when someone (who is more than 7000 km away from me,who doesn't understand a single word I speak, who is made up of totally contrasting genes to that which make me- say a nagaland citizen) dies than when a sri-lankan or pakistani who has a different passport to mine, but every other thing common with me experiences similar tragedy?

Why was I ridiculed by my friends when I cheered for team chennai and accepted by everyone during team India's case?
Why is it great to love rahman's vande mataram but kind of odd when you give the same love to Semmozhiyana tamizh mozhiyzaam?

Mathematically speaking, A simple case of summation of similar entities(states)produces totally opposite and contrasting results to, when each
individual entity( single state) is applied to the same process.

Considering Sachin's statement as the process, if we replace the variable Indian, to say -Marathi.Sachin could have become Shiv sena's brand ambassador.

Same process,

change from individual variables to summation of variables = totally contrasting reactions. (in this equation media acts both as catalyst and promoter).

It is a classic case of big vs small, where the big(nation) is always superior to the small(region) proved by an unquestioned theory just like boyle's law.

May be by posting this I have committed the biggest crime possible, of questioning the second most noblest of all feelings patriotism- (a distant second to mother's love).

But I don't care what others think, I don't see the Radcliffe lines, the 22nd parallels or the Waghas that's why I consider myself a non-conformist. I am not favourably or comfortably on the side of the big(nation) or stupidly in the side of the small(region). I am part of the super-big (the universe) and I am proud of it, much more prouder than when I say I am part of India.

confession: The fear of non-acceptance and hate, held me from posting this piece for the past 2 months. But now I have killed the fear, may be that's what rebels do.

n! - the other side of numbers

I have always wondered why Maths teachers are portrayed and considered as one of the craziest and weirdest sect of homo sapiens.

Reasons may be

1- They sure are the most unsocial and nerdy people you can ever find.

2- Try telling them that you like history and english, only if you are brave enough to face their sarcastic but terrible smile.

3- They tell the biggest lie this world has ever faced, repeatedly as their gospel
"MATHS IS JUST A GAME WITH NUMBERS..MATH IS FUN!!!!" -come on when will these crazy people realize that games are meant to entertain(haven't you heard of the x-boxes and PS3s)

But I realize now that even for teasing maths, you need numbers to list out your reasons. To admit the fact, yes I love numbers even if they betray me sometimes(not just because they form 66% of the CAT syllabus!!) but for the sheer joy you get when you crack a tough problem ahead of others.

Numbers- most people consider it to be similar to a maths teacher-a soulless, heartless reasoning tool, a boring intellectual crap that only the iit wannabes can make love to.

But being this crazy self proclaimed maverick that I consider myself to be, I would like to shed some light on the other facets of maths and numbers.

First of all Maths is not 100 percent a product of reason. To all those mathematicians who ridicule spirituality and belief in the super natural, don't you use the imaginary number "i" to solve complex equations that could have never been solved without imagination. So what is wrong when the troubled human race believes and uses a god (whose existence cannot be proved)to solve their real life problems.
So doesn't this shatter the preconceived intellectual superiority that maths enjoys over other imaginary yet creative fields.

Yet certain numbers have this power that matters way beyond their decimal value.
9/11 has by all means dethroned the position that 22/7 had held as the most used fraction. But 9/11 beware - Isn't Osama preparing something bigger?!!
786 is still by far the most believed and respected numbers but don't forget 2012 still gives goose bumps to a few.

I don't know what crime 666,377 and 13 committed.May be the latter's number table was difficult to memorize for the godmen.

But my personal and life long favorite number would be "THREE LAKH SIXTY TWO THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIX".. decimalize it and add hyphen after every two digits..(sorry readers couldn't be straightforward coz I believe my brother would read this and complain to mom!!!!!)

Catch you in the next blog If I am alive...))

The boozer saves the day

Disclaimer: This author is literally in high spirits while writing this post.

What makes a profound heir to a booming software company, dance and almost strip publicly in front of a bunch of school kids?

Yes it is C2H5OH - One liquid that would unquestionably win the silver medal, as the most needed liquid to sustain life in this planet. In the most desirable category it's simply federer(read as unbeatable, any queries ask vijay mallya)

This liquid is a great healer, amazing entertainer and the most profitable FMCG product ever (screw all those teetotalers). It takes you to the super excited state which till now I always thought was possible only for those lucky electrons in the chemistry textbook to experience. This is also the best lie detector ever invented, as it is almost impossible to fib after having a date with it.

Don't you feel that the disclaimer given earlier as totally unnecessary and it is painfully obvious that I am in a high?

Alcohol, fag,or any other drug creates this virtual halo, the amazing sense of weightlessness-(who told "you got to be in space to experience zero-gravity") and makes you forget yourself as told by many of my spirited friends.

But today I have got all these symptoms and I swear- the only place I ve touched alcohol is in my chemistry lab.

How come?

A big NO, to those who guessed the answer to be love. I am happy being single, despite the valentine fever.

I joined yuri gagarin by just experiencing the pleasure of, ten hours of sufi music- qawwali, ghazal, thumiri, hindustani.Yes it was an experience indescribable through this anglo-saxonic offspring(english). Is it the music or that mysterious Urdu that soothes my body, heals my pains, mesmerizes my thoughts, makes me to blog at 3 in the morning and overwhelms me completely? The spell that Urdu casts on you despite knowing only 50percent of it is simply unmatched by any other language. Just spelling words like khwaab turns me on now, how I despise those Javed akhthars, gulzaars and the salims!

Gulzar wrote for manisha koirala in chaiya chaiya as "uski zubaan urdu ki tharah". Greatest praise that she could ever get.

The power of this language and its musical forms has made a non-muslim think and learn about that religion. Why not consider these kinds of magical elements of any religion, instead of violence as its USP and market it. The Eternal epics and temple architecture can be the Hindu USP.(The marketer in me refuses to sleep)

Had the radical fundamentalists and religious leaders considered this, the world would have been a better place to live in..

The agnostic boozer saves the day for the spiritualists... Time for some qawwali- tere naina in my name is khan..
khudha hafiz..)!!!

The Moriarty in me

Why is it
That our darker sides always remain so well organized?
That the most creative aspects of my thoughts, are liberated from me, when I think evil?
That I believe only the negativity in me, can one day reach the shades of genius?

What makes the perfect villain?
The fact that no one recognizes him to be one, or that only his actions influence others and not his personality?

Is it the hope of success or the fear of failure that helps mankind attain perfection?

Why do I think that fear is creating a perfect criminal in me (one that has not even been questioned once till date)?

If Creation is greater than destruction, why aren't the perfect evil creators considered much more intelligent than its destroyers?

who made dark knight,dhoom watchable?

Why do I always like the amitabhs, but love the gabber singhs?
Is it because the Moriartys, the jokers have to be nothing short of perfect every time and there is no scope for error ?

But suddenly, the invigilator who was also dozing, woke me up from these random questions and said "final year, place aita nu koluppa.. Olunga exam eludu"…

The Moriarty(perfection) in me was killed by the invigilator(timidity).. Now I have further more reason to believe as a fact that the professor was much greater than holmes..

Are the Watsons listening?

Idols r for the idle

2nd Jan 2004- @sydney- One of the greatest knocks in world cricket was being scripted by the genius... Probably it was extra special because the opponent was steve bucknor rather than Australia, or may be as it was steve waugh’s farewell test that made it better...I was a 10th std. student and like a billion Indians, a proud sachinist.. By praying to every god ever created by man, that the dreadful finger never went up, or the elusive edge never took place..I made sure that sachin remained not out till the end.

25th jan 2010- @dhaka-By no means this one can be termed to be sachin’s greatest…maybe a battered Bangladeshi didn’t help the cause

I am not here to write a testimonial about sachin, (probably the image is misleading) that would be done by the com-box rock star a million times better.Sarcasm and histrionics apart. I am here to reason…

Despite the clear difference(not the 97 runs) in the greatness of the knocks. I enjoyed the latter better… It’s my mindset that has changed and given me the joy that I missed during the Sydney epic..

6 years back I had idolized sachin. Yes he was right there among the vishnu’s and shiva’s..But the only thing I could manage to enjoy was sachin’s presentation speech, beacause I was either fasting or was busy praying during his knocks…It was like reading the newspaper line by line, after missing Usain bolt’s Olympic magic..Useless..

Now I am just a loyal fan of the great man’s cricket and personality..I could enjoy the elegance of the straight drive live, rather than in the super 4s package…

How did this change occur?

Intellectual growth and probably independent thinking.. As Indians we idolize celebrities and that has been the main cause of our problems in politics and development(read as MGR, MK, Chiru etc)

Yeah now, I love Rahamn, that doesn’t mean that I should enjoy his music by default…Except Fiqrana, blue’s music was a disappointment…I still love tiger woods’s golf, and don’t give a damn about his personal life, that’s because I hadn’t idolized him..

Life is much easy but importantly much more joyful now… Now my policy is not to idolize anyone except my own…So now, sachin is not my idol, but my brother is….You don't dare to reason among your own

Is the romantic dying or is the realist growing up….)))
